This was 3 weeks ago and it was a deal for almost all rare earth minerals. Apparently they smelted it already prior to sending but I would also question their quality. UAMY isn't at the scale to fully supply the US or even close yet so I dont see this as a big deal at all. If it was people would have been talking about it for weeks now.

Now that China and India found common grounds in the matters of trade, this seems to have impact on Pakistan’s geopolitical decisions. This move with rare earth resources proposed for US indicates that China and Pakistan relations are cooling. 
IMO the latest regional tensions between India and Pakistan demonstrated superiority of India’s military technologies over the Chinese supplied to Pakistan.
We’ll see how this goes, but US traded off a pretty significant regional power for something not as close as significant, making their geopolitical rivals much stronger.
I can’t wait to see where the win is this time.
